Who We Are

Our roots are in the promotional products industry but we are dedicated to serving businesses in a wide variety of industries.

In 1979, 12-year-old John Herman began selling promotional products in his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio, for his Uncle's company, Incentives for Industry, Inc. which was based in Toledo, Ohio. By age 16 he had founded his own promotional products business in Cleveland and acquired a broad base of clients including Fortune 500 companies. Later, after college, John founded and was CEO of Incentive Merchandising Corporation, a full-service promotional products, sales promotion, marketing and fulfillment business which handled large-scale corporate identity and promotional merchandising programs. This company was sold to industry leader, Halo Branded Solutions. Since that time, through his various Private Equity business activities, John has successfully started, acquired, built-up, and sold several successful businesses in a wide variety of industries.

Recognizing that traditional bank financing could seldom provide working capital solutions for the unique financing dilemmas facing both promotional products businesses as well as other manufacturing, distribution, and service businesses of all types, John formed Promotional Capital LLC.
